We highly recommend Total Merchant Services. They offer a comprehensive line of payment solutions (credit card acceptance, debit cards, and check acceptance) for all types of businesses, including retail storefronts, restaurants, hotels, service companies, wireless merchants and mail, telephone or Internet order businesses.
Code Editors
One of the "cleanest" editors around is HomeSite, originally developed by Allaire and now owned by Macromedia. At around $100, it's an affordable code-only editor, complete with color-coded tagging and an assortment of code-helpers. Logical Imagination developers have also favorably reviewed EditPad Lite, a lightweight text editor that provides far more functionality than NotePad without the intrusive overhead of GUI coding tools. Best of all, EditPad Lite is free for non-commercial use. (EditPad Pro is available for around $40.)
FTP Programs
We recommend WS_FTP Pro, a file transfer application that is used to transfer files between your local PC and the remote FTP server. With WS_FTP Pro, you can connect to any FTP server and transfer files in either direction (upload or download). Our staff is also fond of FTP Voyager, which handles folder synchronization very nicely. It is available for around $50, with 2 year upgrades. |
